It all started with a disposable camera in middle school—and I’ve basically had a camera in my hand ever since. What pulled me in (and never let go) wasn’t just the art of photography, but the people. I love capturing real, emotional, joy-filled moments—and helping people feel strong, beautiful, and totally themselves in the process.
I’m based in southern Minnesota, but I’ll happily pack my bags if it means I get to help you create something meaningful and true to your story. Whether you're celebrating love, growing your family, or just want to freeze a special moment in time, I’m here for it—and for you.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll probably find me curled up with a book, rewatching Criminal Minds (yes, again), blasting emo punk like it never went out of style, or hanging out with my rescue dog and sidekick, Obi Wan. I’m a little bit awkward in the most endearing way (or so I’ve been told), but it works—because it helps my clients feel like they don’t have to be perfect. Just present. Just real.

My approach
When you’re in front of my camera, I want you to feel like you—relaxed, seen, and celebrated. My style is all about capturing candid, honest moments that feel authentic to who you are—not just pretty poses (though we’ll sneak in a few of those, too!).
Before we even pick up a camera, I take the time to get to know you—what makes you laugh, what makes you feel at ease, what kind of moments mean the most to you. Whether we’re documenting your wedding day, your growing family, or just a sweet season of life, my goal is always the same: to help you feel comfortable and confident being yourself.
During our session, I’ll gently guide you but never force a moment. I might ask you to walk and talk with your partner, tell each other your favorite things about one another, or pretend I’m just “testing the light” (a little trick I use to help everyone forget the camera is even there). I’ll hype you up when you need it and give you space when you don’t. We’ll laugh, move around, and before you know it, you’ll feel like you’re just hanging out—while I’m there capturing all the beautiful, real stuff as it unfolds.
I truly love this work because I get to freeze those fleeting moments of connection and joy—the ones that make you feel something when you look back at them. Helping people feel beautiful, strong, and completely themselves in front of my lens? That’s the magic I’m here for.
